About this piece
A handmade Damascus steel sword with a long pattern-welded blade and a wrapped grip — the centrepiece of the collection and the piece most often bought for a display wall. Layers of high-carbon steel are welded, drawn and folded by hand, then etched so the pattern runs the full length of the blade.
Forging a sword-length billet evenly is the hardest work we do: the layers have to stay consistent as the steel is drawn out, and the blade has to come out of heat treatment straight. That is also why every sword is individual — the pattern across yours will belong to that blade alone.
This is a collector and display sword rather than a sparring weapon. It looks its best on a wall bracket, a horizontal stand or in a cabinet, and it wants an occasional wipe and oil like any high-carbon blade.
