About this piece
A hand-forged Damascus steel blade fitted with a Paka wood handle — the most colourful handle we work with, and the piece we most often recommend to someone buying their first Damascus knife. The blade is pattern-welded from layered high-carbon steel and etched so the banding stands out against the bright handle.
Paka wood is a resin-stabilised laminated hardwood, which means it is dimensionally stable in a kitchen or a pack, resists moisture far better than untreated wood, and polishes to a deep glossy finish with strong colour movement through it. Practically, it is a handle you can use around water without worrying about swelling or cracking.
It works as a general-purpose knife: kitchen prep, camp cooking, or simply display. Forged to order, so the pattern and handle colour are unique to your knife, and we can cut it to a different blade length on request. Message us on WhatsApp with what you need and we confirm the price in USD before forging. Tracked shipping across the United States, worldwide international delivery available.
