About this piece
The Bowie is the classic American fighting and hunting knife shape, and this one is forged in Damascus steel with a Micarta handle. Layers of high-carbon steel are welded and drawn out by hand, then etched so the pattern runs the length of the clip-point blade — the reason collectors keep coming back to this design.
Micarta is a resin-bonded composite used on working knives because it grips well when wet, shrugs off oil and blood, and does not swell or crack the way some woods can. That makes this Bowie as suited to hunting camp and field dressing as it is to a display case.
